This Ruling Council www.cavalierideltartufo.it is since 2019 under guidance of Gran Maestro Tomaso Zanoletti and represents more 19 delegations in 13 countries on different continents.
The Dutch delegation is a club of Piemontese wine and gastronomy ambassadors and has no commercial interest but aims to deepen their practical and theoretical knowledge of wines from the Alba region by also enjoying it. Friendship, loyalty and shared passion for these wines are central at the Dutch delegation.
The Dutch delegation organises yearly events such as tastings, dinners and Chapters. Once a year it organises a technical wine trip to Piemonte visiting talented winemakers and as highlight participating a Chapter at its headquarter Castello Grinze Cavour bringing white and red tulips. This symbolises the two main colours of the arm of Alba and strengthen the friendship with other Knights of Alba from all over the globe enjoying wines and local gastronomy in each other’s company. Many international contacts are being made here, also with wine makers, merchants, recency writers and brokers.
The Dutch delegation is a mixed club of people from all sorts of professions from all over the Netherlands. During a Chapter inductions of new members, who participated previous events, are possible in the presence of a Maestro from the Ruling Council.
